  The School Safety Advocacy Council is proud to announce a reduction in registration fees from 2008. We continue committed to providing the highest level of training from the foremost experts in the field of school safety but realize in these dire financial times we must do whatever we can to assist agencies in providing world class training within their reduced budgets. With these reductions in fees the School Safety Advocacy Council now offers training at substantially less than all other major providers of school safety training while continuing to lead them all in experience and expertise. In addition to registration fee reductions we have also reduced our fees for buying out a course for your agency, this not only saves you money over paying a per attendee fee but adds additional savings on top of that. Lastly, you still have the option of hosting one of our training courses which provides you a number of free training spots for your agency.  
     
 
 
     
 

40 Hour Basic School Based Police Officers Course

This course was written by the nation's leaders in school based policing.  This course is designed to provide the newer school based police officer / deputy with insight and skills for functioning in the educational setting.  Our staff is aware that no police academy in the country prepares an officer for the unique assignment of school based policing.  Officers attending will attend numerous mini-workshops on a variety of school based topics, including Special Education, Homeland Security for Schools, Community Oriented Policing Concepts, School Crisis Planning, SRO/Administrator relations, mentoring students, instructional techniques and more.  This course is also recommended for School Administrators, DARE Officers, School Resource Officers, School Security Professionals and School Probation Officers.

24-Hour ADVANCED School Resource Officer Course

This comprehensive 3-day course is specifically designed for the law enforcement officer assigned to the educational setting and/or school and college administrator responsible for school safety operations. This course will provide advanced topics and theories beyond the Basic Level Course to assist the experienced officer/administrator perform their ever evolving duties. Course instruction will focus on causation and solutions to school violence, recent trends in school violence, crime prevention through environmental design, dealing with the media and advance critical incident planning. A portion of this course will include a comprehensive tabletop exercise addressing emergency response to a school based critical incident.

Emergency Management Response in the Educational Setting

It has been suggested that,” If you want to get to the heart strings of America, place our children at risk”. This intensive 1-day course is specifically designed for school and college administration, school emergency teams, police, fire, and other first responders to effectively plan, prepare, and respond to a critical incident on a school campus. This all hazards preparation course will be highly interactive and culminate with a tabletop exercise of a school critical incident.
